The World's Largest Mobile Factory Will be in India
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of South
Korea Moon Jae-in will inaugurate the the world's largest mobile factory in
Noida on 09th July 2018. During the event CM Yogi Adityanath will be
with him. The world's biggest mobile factory is now in the hands of India.
Features of the Factory:-
- Located in Sector 81 Noida, Samsung Electronics extends over 35 acres.
- Samsung first electronic manufacturing center was established in the early 1990s, in which the TV manufacturing started in 1997. The existing mobile factory was installed in 2005.
- Last year, the South Korean company announced an expansion of Noida Plant by investing Rs 4,915 crore, after which the new factory is now ready to double the production.
- In India, the company is currently making 6.7 million smartphones and about 12 million mobile phones are expected to be manufacturing after the new plant is operational.
- In the new factory, not just mobile but Samsung's consumer electronic goods like refrigerators and flat-panel televisions will also double and the company will continue to be number one in all these segments.
- Samsung has two manufacturing plants in India, one in Noida and second in Sriperumbudur , Tamil Nadu. Five Research and Development Centers and Noida have a design center in which 70 thousand people work. The company has increased its network and has opened 1.5 lakh retail outlets.
- Significantly, Samsung is going to install the world's largest mobile factory here. In the case of Consumer Electronics, the tag of being the largest mobile factory on the map of the world is not with China or South Korea and the US does not have it, but now Uttar Pradesh's city Noida is going to achieve this feat.
